Bastian Bergmann
I'm Co-Founder and Executive Director of the ETH FinsureTech Hub, where I shape our education initiatives and outreach - and most of what surrounds them.
I love the full arc of building new formats: creating new programs and lectures, developing the concepts, and designing the visuals and words that bring them to life. Think part director, part designer.
Alongside this, I teach at the intersection of technology and philosophy.
I hold a PhD in Finance and a Master in Philosophy. Since 2014 I work at ETH Zurich.
Our two leading programs for professionals are:
- CAS ETH in Machine Learning in Finance and Insurance
- CAS ETH in GenAI and Agentic Systems for Enterprises
Across both programs, content and design are built together: the curriculum, the classroom, the brochure, and the rhythm of the days are shaped to feel like one coherent learning path; something participants can step into, recognize themselves in, and carry with them after graduation.
I see photography as a way of slowing down, looking more closely, and capturing moments. I am not a professional photographer, but I love exploring new perspectives and documenting the people, places, and activities I encounter at the Hub and beyond. More recently, I try to combine photogrpahy and graphical elements.
